This bracelet was made from broken brass drum cymbal.
The design features flared ends and a thin middle.
We acquire our cymbals from drummers after they have cracked, and their sound has changed. The process from scrap to jewelry begins with measuring and drawing the bracelet design or shape we want into the cymbal. Then we cut the shape out (cymbals are very tough and sharp), punch and drill any needed holes and add a maker’s mark if necessary. Then, put on mask and gloves and file the sharp edges and do a nice polish all over. From there, we form them into cuffs (if they are bracelets) and put everything in the tumbler to further polish and work harden. After that, earrings get their ear wires and matches.
Because it was made from a used cymbal, it has a uniquely distressed look that sets it apart from any other. A great gift for a drummer or any music lover, sure to start a great conversation.
The cuffs are formed to include a 1/2 to 1" gap, so they will be approximately 6 1/2 to 7" in diameter and can be adjusted somewhat to be bigger or smaller.
This item ships in a Kraft gift box for safe shipping and sweet gift giving.
